"S FACTOR" BODY BOOSTER PLUMPING SPRAY

the other day i finally got my hair cut.... it has literally been two and a half years. i have had this phobia of cutting it because it was so long, and i know how hair dressers function, and when you say 2 INCHES they take off four. so i waited until i just thought, DO IT. it was a spur of the moment decision, which for me are the best kind because theres no turning back. and my mother is also very good and kicking me to do things like that. but i got straight across bangs! it has been YEARS since i had bangs, but i was definitely ready for a change. my hair did nothing for my face shape, and it was dry as all hell because i ombre it so much, and lets face it... bleach is a huge no-no for your mane. but so far i'm loving the fringe and people keep saying that i look like zooey deschanel, which i CANNOT complain about, i love her hair and style.. if only i had her blue eyes though. anyways, back to the point.. when i was at the counter about to pay for the cut, i noticed the wall absolutely full of "s factor" products. and that is the brand that i have heard loads about, and i was curious to try it out. my hairdresser recommended the body booster spray to volumize my hair. frick is this stuff expensive though! $27.99 for the 200 ml bottle. a $35.00 haircut quickly turned into a $70 hair cut... ouch. the only thing thats distracting me from the price is the scent of this spray.. HOLY CRAP! it smells incredible... incredible is almost an understatement. the only thing i could compare the scent to is slurpees from 7-11 (if you live in north america you'll easily understand). or otherwise, it smells like candy. but the best candy in the world. i'll even admit that i tasted it.. not proud of that.. but it literally smelt so good i was like "how can it not taste just as nice?" wrong. it tastes terrible, never try it.. not that you ever would.. but i'm a dumby.
the description on the bottle reads, "gives soft, moveable body and adds lift to your roots." it does just that. i'm basically pretty happy with it thus far. i just wish that it was a cheaper product. i'm literally drooling at  the thought of what the shampoo/conditioner would smell like.. oh ma gawd. i'm not sure if i'll purchase it again only because of the $27.99 bit, i'm not sure how much it'd cost at another place... if it was cheaper i'd probably purchase the whole range. but for now i'll be content with just the volumizing spray. don't let word scare you though, it doesn't make your hair HUGE or anything crazy like that, it's honestly very minimal. it adds just the right amount of lift. it's very easy to work with.
all you do is add in damp hair - what i do is split my hair at the roots in three sections and spray directly on it and then style as usual, or else you can use it in dry hair to "refresh body" as it says.
if anyone has tried any of the other "s factor" products please let me know how you like them and if they're worth trying out. :)

thanks for stopping by. xx

MAYBELLINE ONE BY ONE VOLUM' EXPRESS MASCARA | review

hello long lost friends. it's been a while since i have tried a product that i have actually really really liked. when it comes to mascaras i'm very picky. i'll usually use two different mascaras to get the look i want... long full lashes. a girl i work with told me to try maybellines' 'one by one' volum' express mascara as it is the one she always uses and said that it was her favorite. although i literally have about 8 lightly used mascaras i thought that it wouldn't hurt to buy this one because it was on sale for $4.97.. for a mascara..that is pretty good. anyways, the first time i tried it, it was an 'oh my god where have you been all my life' moment. i did the usual curling my lashes before applying mascara. 'one by one' is an amazing product it gave me volume and fullness and thats with only two coats. i always buy waterproof because my make-up does tend to smudge throughout the day because i tend to get oily while i'm at work. in my drawer i have the 'mega plush, colossal, falsies' but this one is by far my favorite mascara out of every single brand i've tried without buying a high end brand. i hope you guys will try this product out!

REVLON LASH POTION MASCARA

first of all i'd like to say that i'm so sorry that i have been neglecting my blog lately. i just haven't had the time to post anything, yet there are so many things that i have been itching to talk about. hopefully you lovely people will forgive me. i recently picked up revlon's new lash potion mascara which is by the 'grow luscious' line. the last thing i obviously needed was another mascara because i have so many that i still have to use up before they dry out... but this one completely swooned me! the bottle is so pretty with pinks and greens and blues. the brush is HUGE. much bigger than i was expecting. it's a pretty decent mascara except that since it's a really big brush i tend to get product on my nose a lot, cause it's bigger than my eye. and it's always a pain when you're in a hurry in the mornings that you have to deal with getting black off of your face, which more often than not it ends up smearing, making it look like you have a black eye. attractive. and i also found that my upper lashes and lower lashes would get stuck together whenever i blinked. it's not a huge deal, but still. the packaging says "the formula with strengthening proteins, amino acids and essential vitamins, revitalizes lashes. the illusionist wand drenches lashes for dramatic volume and combs through lashes for clump free length." this mascara definitely adds length, i do really like it. i don't have to use 2 mascaras, i can just use this one. which is great for me ( i usually have to use my colossal and an e.l.f. mascara). obviously this isn't the absolute best mascara i've ever tried, but it does the job nicely, and i'm really happy with it. i've always been a fan of the "grow luscious" mascara's. this adds a nice amount of volume and length. the lash potion mascara is about $9.99 at any drug/grocery store.

thanks for stopping by, and i promise i'll post again soon. xx
