IPSY GLAM BAG | november "glam it up"

hello everyone, it feels great to be back ! i received this months IPSY glam bag in the mail yesterday, and i am so THRILLED about what was inside! it was probably one of their best bags yet. this is great considering last months bag, i wasn't overly impressed with the items.

this entire bag is valued at approximately $65.00, and the subscription is $12.00 a month. this is ABSOLUTELY insane/amazing. 

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GUYS LOOK INTO SUBSCRIBING TO IPSY, this bag was just so good. i am so happy i made the choice to switch from glossybox to ipsy. so worth it in the long run. the pigmentation in these products are out of this world and it's going to be so fun creating looks for the holidays with these. especially the starlooks eye pencil, such a beautiful silvery-blue color. i am ESPECIALLY looking forward to the "Nailtini" nail polish, the colour is a rose gold, and i have been lusting over rose gold nail polish for the longest while. i bet it'll look gorgeous on the nails.

hello besties, as fall rolls around the corner i've been looking at my little collection of makeup and seeing what i'd like to add..

i've been DYING to try all of these brands so badly, i swear every british blogger has something amazing to say about bourjois, thebalm, and soap & glory. i recently discovered that i can purchase "soap & glory" and "bourjois" at Shoppers DrugMart and Sephora here in Canada, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous for them... RIDICULOUS. for soap & glory's "Hand Food" it's $18.00, and everything else is either that price or higher. it's so depressing because i don't want to have to spend that kind of money. it's so sad! 

i haven't checked out the Bourjois section yet and the prices... i only hope it's somewhat reasonable. i've heard amazing things about the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, and the bronzer that looks like chocolate.. who wouldn't want to try that. 

and of course... "thebalm". i'm in love with basically every product that i see from this brand. i think everything looks so adorable and i'd love to have them in my possession. i especially want to try the 'nude-tude' eyeshadow palette, the colours look so gorgeous, and they have a nice mix of everything. and the "mary-lou-manizer', i'm currently seeing this on everyone's blogs/videos. i don't currently own any sort of "lumanizer" or "highlighter" so it's definitely an item i want to get my hands on. 

my fingers are crossed that my little bank account will let me purchase a few of these items in the near future.

ESSENCE | inexpensive makeup haul

since today is labor day and nothing is open except for Shoppers Drug Mart, i decided to take a little peek at their makeup selection, since in my opinion, it is one of the best. 

i had heard of essence from a colleague of mine at Joe Fresh, who said that this brand is AMAZING and so so so unbelievably cheap. it couldn't hurt to pick up a few things, could it? i found a variety of items, i haven't tried any of it out yet, so i'm so curious as to how these things will turn out. for all of these 6 items i paid $26.00, thats insane, isn't it?! 

sun club matt bronzing powder in "blondes" $4.99

the back of this bronzer states "matt bronzing powder for a naturally sun-kissed glow". this particular shade says that it's perfect for lighter skin types, the darker one looked too orangey to me, so i decided to stick with this one. it smells like COCONUTS, i was so shocked, and so pleased with that. it smells really, really good. it looks like a pretty decent bronzer. 

all about matt- fixing compact powder $3.99

this one states, "extremely smooth fixing compact powder for a matt and natural finish all day long. helps to blend blush and foundation colors together. fixes makeup when applied as finishing powder, for all skin tones." 

i haven't seen anything like this before, but i thought it'd be a good thing to try and have. just in case.

i hope that i like these products, the prices were so insanely good, if any of you guys have tried "essence" please let me know what you thought of it. love you guys!

BENEFIT HOOLA BRONZER REVIEW

i bought this bronzer about a month ago from sephora. i was using a joe fresh bronzer before that which did the job just fine, but i did find it a little bit orange-y still. so i just thought i should buy a high end bronzer and be happy with it, so i did just that. i absolutely love this bronzer, it is amazing. it's not orange-y at all and it matches my skin tone perfectly. it looks so natural but still contours nicely. it gives my skin that glowing finish that i wanted. hoola is a matte bronzer, it has no shimmer in it (thank god). the foundation i'm currently using has a little bit of shimmer in it, so my face would look so sparkly if this had. it comes with a brush that looks like a rectangle, which is actually perfect for the contour of your cheekbones, i just sweep it in the contour and then buff it to blend with my blusher which a face brush or buffing brush. i love this stuff, and WILL be re-purchasing once i run out. it is $36.00 at sephora.
