THE AUTUMN TAG |

i was tagged by the lovely blusher and bronze to do this tag. i have been wanting to do this for a while now because autumn/fall is my absolute favourite season. it makes me so happy inside when the cooler weather comes along. 

favourite thing about autumn? 

this is hard to choose just one thing, i love everything about fall. probably the smell of it, and the changing of colours. autumn is so beautiful and gives me so much hope for life. 

favourite drink? 

now, i know the answer i'm supposed to have is "pumpkin spice latte" from starbucks... and it is one of my faves. but i love just plain ol' coffee and tea. there are so many flavours of cremes and choices of teas to have now that it is just so enjoyable to start or end your day with something warm and delicious.

favourite scent/candle?

i haven't started my fall candles/scents yet, but right now, i am loving a scent for my Scentsy warmer called "vanilla citron," the very best of vanilla and sweet lemon. but as fall does roll around i love any "pumpkin" or "cinnamon" scent. 

best lipstick?

my current fall favourite is berry colours of lipsticks, it is all the trend right now. my favourite shade is "berry couture" by revlon. it's an amazing formula and so so pretty on the lips. very wearable. 

go-to moisturizer? 

this time of year my skin gets so dry, the only moisturizer that has worked wonders on my skin thus far is Neostrata's 24 hr hydration serum. it's unbelievable. 

go-to colours for the eyes?

i tend to be attracted to smokey eyes around autumn, but natural smokey eyes. with golds and browns, i also love super exaggerated eyelashes. Ciaoobelllaxo's mascara routine video has changed my life forever. i suggest you guys go and have a look and try it on your eyelashes. no falsies needed! 

favourite music to listen to? 

fall is definitely an amazing time for music. Mumford and Sons is the best in fall (they're amazing in every season) but the way the wind moves in fall, the music just matches it. am i sounding crazy, yet?

favourite outfit to wear? 

the obvious- oversized sweater, circle scarf, leggings, tall boots. 

autumn treat?

PUMPKIN PIE! mmmmm 

favourite place to be? 

either in my backyard with nature, or inside with a big cup of cocoa snuggled up, watching a film.

TAG | 25 facts about me

hey there everyone. i have been seeing a lot of these posts going around lately and also recently Tanya Burr made a "50 facts about me" video and i thought that it wouldn't be such a bad idea for you guys to get to know me a little bit better. so without further ado here are 25 facts about me !  

1. my birthday is on Canada Day 

2. i have an older sister named Katie, it's safe to say she is one of my absolute best friends

3. i play the piano and the ukulele, i have taken piano lessons since i was about 7, and i taught myself the ukulele about a year ago.. and it's one of my favourite things to do. 

4. i have a 12 year old dog, named Howard. he is part lab and part bull terrier.. i love him to pieces

5. i love to bake, i decorate cakes as a side job in my house. it's one of my greatest hobbies and people actually pay me which is insane. ps: i am going to attach a "baking" page on this blog for you all to peek at 

6. i love to watch tv, some of my favorite shows are 'new girl', 'pretty little liars' and 'the walking dead'. 

7. i have a massive sweet tooth, i always attempt at an 'all healthy diet' but it never lasts... 

8. i am ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of sharks, i will cry if i even see a photo of one. -i dont even live near any bodies of water-

9. i have a tattoo on my forearm of a silhouette of 2 birds on a branch

10. i am debating becoming a primary school teacher.... idealy in England. 

11. i have a noticeable scar in the centre of my forehead from running into a door when i was about 6 years old. 

12. i love Harry Potter more than anything

13. i often go to antique book stores and find books to add to a growing collection of mine.  

14. i am very tall at 5'10 .. it is something that has been very hard to accept 

15. i have always wanted to travel to England

16. i rarely drink alcohol, i'm not fan of the way it feels. 

17. i tend to drink a lot of coffee.. i get very sluggish otherwise. 

18. i'm a very self conscious person, i have never worn a bathing suit in public. (i'm working on this)

19. i love every single genre of music EXCEPT country.. i cannot stand anything country. BUT i love folk music. similar - but - different

20. i keep a journal and try to write in it every night.. even though i have been slacking lately. i sometimes feel like i can only explain myself fully in my journal... it's almost like a secret friend or something. (that was a very weird thing to say). 

21. i am a VERY shy person, meeting new people is sometimes hard for me. it takes a lot for me to feel comfortable around someone.

22. i've worked at my job at Joe Fresh Apparel for 4 and a half years, it was also my first legit job. 

23. i love reading classic books like 'wuthering heights', 'jane eyre', 'pride and prejudice', just to name a few 

24. i still have the same friends that i had in kindergarten, which is rare and amazing

25. i love planning events and decorating. i like the feeling of putting things together.

TAG - WOULD YOU RATHER | beauty edition

hello everyone. i recently saw this post on Spider Leg Lashes blog, and thought "hey! why not." i love doing posts like this.. i find it entertaining, and it gets you guys to know a little more about me. so without further ado "would you rather... beauty edition!" 

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

i think all of my palettes and eyeshadows. i've only recently started wearing eyeshadow, and i did just fine without it before. mascara, eyeliners & lipsticks are my life.. 

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

oooh this is a hard one... my hair is like my child. honestly.. never be able to cut it again. i love having long hair too much to actually cut it all off. 

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

pink cheek, all i've been using are pink shades. i find they go best with my olive skin tone. believe me.. i wish i could wear coral.. i haven't been brave enough yet. 

If you had $1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

oh gosh... these questions are harder than i thought.. $1000 on clothes. yes. i find that spending money on clothing makes more sense. 

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

lipstick as eyeliner. adding a bright pop of colour is really in right now so you could make it work somehow.. as long as it wasn't a red lipstick. 

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

sephora. definitely. i rarely buy at mac, but sephora has a lot of options and brands and products. sephora is the mothership! 

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

one eyeshadow colour. i basically only use one anyways, and i love playing around with different lipsticks and lip products. 

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

wear winter clothes in summer. there's nothing i love more than a baggy oversized sweater. 

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?

i tend to get sick of nail polish quickly.. dark nails. less obnoxious than bright coloured nails. 

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

favorite lip product. my favorite eye product is my mascara.. and mascara is a staple in my make-up routine. 

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

pony tail. i could never get the perfect messy bun.. i'm not sure if i have too much hair or what. but a pony tail is the most i can do. 

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

forsure never wear lipgloss.. i have never been a fan of it. so goopy and sticky. bleh! 

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?

sharpie them in everyday. have you ever thought of someone without eyebrows?! one of the funniest things. i'd rather look ridiculous with drawn on eyebrows. 

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

live without nail polish, no competition!
